Sohar University has won two awards at the 7th International Conference of Arabic Language, held in Dubai, UAE, during the period from 18 to 21 April 2018.
Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Ajmi from the Faculty of Education and Arts, in conjunction with Ms. Najia al-Husaniya from the Ministry of Education, presented a research entitled “The impact of the using interactive teaching strategy among the students of the 10th grade to acquire the skills of reading comprehension in literary texts”. The research won the first place in the conference's Distinguished Research Award.
Another research was presented by Dr. Hajar Abdulrahman Al-Harathi from the Faculty of Education and Arts, under the title of " Highlighting the contribution of women to the formation of literary heritage: Arab women to the end of the third century”. The research received the third place of the same Award.
It is worth mentioning that the conference included about 800 studies and researches which aimed at achieving many objectives that serve the Arabic language, including encouraging scientific research in Arabic language and linking it to the different fields. This is in addition to publishing the researches and studies that concern the Arabic language and to bridge the gap between it and specialists in various fields.
