On Wednesday, Sohar University organized the Alumni Day in its fifth edition in the presence of a number of the university graduates from 2007/2008 to 2011/2012.
The event was held at Shinas Building in the presence of a number of university officials. It began with a short film about the university, followed by a speech by Dr. Mohammed Al-Maqbali, the Pro VC for Community and Engagement of the university, in which he welcomed the attendees and spoke about the importance of the communication with the alumni and how the university is proud of them. He also explained the importance of their participation and giving their own views to serve the university and contribute to its development.
Professor Hamzah Idris, the Deputy VC for Academic Affairs of the university, also spoke about the University’s new strategy for the period 2018-2023 and what it seeks to achieve. In addition, the event included a lecture on the skills of self-discovery, presented by Mr. Nasr bin Shnein Al-Fazzari. Finally, three successful entrepreneurs of the university’s students were honored.
