يعمل الدكتور محمد النوفلي بوظيفة أستاذ مساعد بكلية التربية والآداب، ويحمل درجة الدكتوراه في المناهج والتدريس. وتتمحور اهتماماته البحثية والمهنية حول المناهج وطرق التدريس والتربية الجغرافية والدراسات الاجتماعية وقضايا المناهج. وقبل الالتحاق بجامعة صحار، عمل الدكتور محمد بوزارة التربية والتعليم في التدريس والتنمية المهنية للمعلمين وتطوير المناهج الدراسية.
