About the conference

This conference was hosted by Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University (PNU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It is the British Council’s flagship language assessment conference in the MENA region. The conference offers perspectives and insights on local, regional, and international trends and approaches in English language assessment.

The aims are to:

About the participation of Sohar University (SU) in the conference

Mr. Saju Abraham and Mr. Ibrahim Al Farsi from English Department in General Foundation Program, at SU, participated in the language assessment conference. The meeting was conducted at Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University (PNU) in Riyadh in collaboration with Saudi TESOL.

The main goal of the conference was to provide people useful information about the latest trends and methods in evaluating English language skills, both locally and globally. Participants had the chance to learn more about how language assessment is changing and to look into ways to adapt easily to changes and shifts in the field.

Mr. Saju Abraham and Mr. Ibrahim Al Farsi from Sohar University were able to talk to experts and professionals in the field, share ideas, and learn more about English language assessment by attending the conference.
