The Omani Ishraq magazine signed a memorandum of understanding with Sohar University for joint cooperation to organize the first international conference on education, entitled: "Twenty-first Century Teaching and Learning...Future Visions and prospects", which will be held on 11-12 January 2023. The purpose of the conference is to develop education sector by shedding light on the most prominent educational issues and developments, and investing the scientific research sector in addressing these issues, in order to develop the learner’s abilities and future skills. The conference seeks to attract a group of experts, specialists and researchers in the educational sector from Oman and Arab world, who can provide future visions for the development of skills-based education. This system is the most capable one of making intellectual and cognitive changes for students in both school and university education, and prepare them for future requirements and for the era of the knowledge economy. The signing ceremony of the memorandum was attended by the VC of SU, the editor-in-chief of Ishraq magazine, the assistants of the VC at SU, a number of university professors, and the editorial department of Ishraq magazine.
