Mervat AlJomaa is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Language Studies, Sohar University. Dr AlJomaa received her MA and PhD in English Literature from the University of Sheffield, UK. She has taught English literature and language on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her research focuses on modern narrative and psychoanalysis, with a special interest in women's studies, comparative literature and young adult fiction. Her publication incorporates studies on feminine writing, power, identity and narrative. She is currently interested in Arab women’s fiction and narrative identity.
