الدكتورة ميرفت الجمعة أستاذة مساعدة في كلية الدراسات اللغوية في جامعة صحار. حصلت على الماجستير والدكتوراه من جامعة شيفيلد في المملكة المتحدة. درَست الأدب واللغة الانكليزيان لطلاب الجامعة والدراسات العليا. تركز أبحاثها على السرد الحديث والتحليل النفسي وبشكل خاص على دراسات المرأة والأدب المقارن وأدب الشباب. تدرس أبحاثها المنشورة دراسة الكتابة النسوية والسلطة والهوية والسرد. حاليا تهتم بأدب المرأة العربية وهويتها السردية.
