Sohar University’s Centre for Preparatory Studies (CPS) is aligned with the Oman Qualification Framework (OQF) and Oman Academic Standards for General Foundation Programs (OASGFP). It is mainly a three-component program that includes English, Mathematics, and Computing, while Study Skills are integrated across the main components. Each component is designed to achieve the learning outcomes which are stated by the GFP Oman Academic Accreditation Authority, and further aligned to SU Graduate Attributes.
Sohar University’s Centre for Preparatory Studies (CPS) is a gateway to higher studies at Sohar University. The program has been designed to prepare students with the best possible advantage as they go into their faculties of specialization, be it diploma or degree programs. CPS also offers Mathematics and Computing in Arabic to cater to students enrolled in programs that are taught in Arabic.
In its endeavor to provide its students with the best experience, SU CPS has excellent infrastructure, learning resources, multicultural academic staff, and a Student Academic Support Unit at the state-of-the-art Learning Resource Centre.
